Keiji Ishiguri (piano / voice)
Keiji is a professional teacher, pianist, music director, arranger, and composer throughout Westchester and New York City. He is dedicated to enriching young lives with music, whether through composing original musicals with high school students at the PlayGroup Theater of White Plains, exploring musical theater history with elementary school students at the Patricia DiChiaro School of Yonkers, or teaching piano and voice right here in New York City.
Keiji has a special interest in vocal ensemble music, having served as the director for the Yale Whiffenpoofs, and the Lost Keys of New York. His a cappella arrangements have been performed all over the globe and have even been featured on such shows as Fox's Glee. A twenty-one movement cycle of his work, entitled The Book of Rounds, has recently been published by Hal Leonard. He is also a vocal coach and music director for Pace University's musical theater program.
When not making music, Keiji enjoys swimming, Bananagrams, and spoiling his niece (who is also a pianist and singer!)
